Page 528: The caption for Figure 2 should read "Fire alarm activation point".

Page 529: The final sentence in the paragraph beneath the heading “Siting, maintenance and training requirements” should read:

Ideally, workers should not be required to travel more than 30 metres to reach one. 

Element 10: Fire

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has been amended by s156 of the Building Safety Act 2022, with effect from 1 October 2023. The amendments impose new responsibilities on those who are responsible persons under the Fire Safety Order, increase the fines for certain offences and strengthen the status of statutory guidance issued under Article 50 of the Fire Safety Order.
